rocky shore habitat


There's are the zones of the rocky shore. We had to stick the creatures into the right zones or habitats. there are four zones the splash zone, high zone, mid zone and low zone.

Splash zone - top zone only gets water from big waves and the rain. Sea gulls, snails, fur seals and barnacles are found here as well as some crabs.

High zone - like the splash zone only gets some water and lots of waves. Cushion starfish and limpets can be found here.

Mid zone - this gets uncovered twice a day when there's high tide. Otherwise it is covered in water. Big starfish, chitons and crabs.

Low zone - always underwater so the creatures that need to always have water live here. Sea cucumbers, small fish, kina, sea horse and seaweed can be found here.

Narrative setting


WALT: create a descriptive narrative focusing on our setting.




3 little ducks went swimming one day in the pond over the hills and far away the mother duck went looking for the ducks calling quack quack but only two little ducks came back. Mamma duck went looking for duck number 3 over the hills and far away.Mamma duck found duck number 3 playing with a bright green frog and a rainbow coloured fish and a very happy dragon fly. Time to go said Mamma duck so duck number 3 said goodbye off they went over the hill and far away back together, Mamma and her 3 little ducks.

Playground recount



Start here:




On a overcast Thursday morning the whole of room 8 went and sat on the big mat. While we were on it we heard Mr Goodwin yelling at room 7. Room 7 were being soldiers when they left we went and lined up in a boys and girls line. We walked down to the playground quietly. When we got to the playground we didn't know what we were doing.





Challenge




Miss Parrant told us that we have to get into teams. The teams were boys vs girls. After that Miss Parrant told us that we were going to be doing a challenge. The challenge was an obstacle course on the park. The first contester for the boys was John. And the first contester for the girls was Sauma. Miss Parrant said 3,2,1 go. John is in the lead Sauma is just a little bit behind but John got back first so it was the next person’s turn. The challenge was fun.





Free time




When we finished we got free time on the park. Most of the class played tag but me John and Lee went to the junior park but we were just playing around.
